The unanimous recommendation on this board is: Don't do it. For one thing it's against virtually every rental contract. For another, it is VERY hit or miss whether you'll actually get it on a ferry... you will be the lowest priority (behind Culebra locals, government and commerical) and could easily be bumped... in either direction.

Definitely not worth the risk and effort.
