Hi Liz
Camping at Flamenco is great except for the concerns raised in my original message. The beach is no more than 30 seconds or so of walking from any point in the camping sections. Section E is right up against the beach whereas the other areas are separated from the beach by a little used sandy road. The town is about 2 miles from Flamenco. We've walked it with and without backpacks. I enjoy the occasional walk because you get to see the island in a different way. Most people choose to go by taxi or rent a vehicle however. If you can avoid weekends, there is best as the party scene kicks up then (especially on holiday weekends); unless you want to party, then you will have plenty of others to do this with. Have a great time!
