We drove to Costa Bonita to take a look at it while we are on Culebra last month, and it was somewhat of a strange experience. There is a huge rut in the road just before you get to the resort that could do some damage to smaller rental cars. Even though it was early Jan., it did not look like anyone was staying there - we saw maybe 2 or 3 cars in the entire property and it felt like a ghost town. We saw 3 people who appeared to be working there, but none of them said anything to us during the 15 mins or so that we were on the property. The large open air dining room looked very pleasant facing Ensenada Honda, but there was not a single soul sitting in a seat at numerous tables at 5:30 p.m., and we did not detect the smell of any food being cooked in the kitchen. 2 people came walking out of a door that we thought might have been a kitchen, but did not ask us if we were there for dinner, etc. It's an odd place and we were very happy to return "home" to Bahia Marina.
