Thank you, C-Y-T-a-L-o-t-F, that's helpful. Since I think the last ferry business is late afternoon, I guess that just means we head in a little early for dinner, browse the shops & the cart, then go eat; Franklin the tent rental guy said after that, they charge taxi rates.
BTW, discovered a great cheap lightweight tent, if you're in need, given your large family. It's a two person 3-season tent that weighs less than 3 lbs that goes for $22-$25! It's the Texsport Knollwood bivy tent - google it, & you'll find them if you need them.
