Hola! October should be nice weather. There are always scattered showers here and there throughout the island in general but, for the most, October is usually drier and sunnier, no hot temperatures. I wouldn't worry about hurricanes that late in the season. If they haven't hit by September, we consider ourselves in the clear as far as hurricanes go. However, always expect the unexpected. You never know with the constant climate changes, weather can hold it's surprises. Wear sunscreen, the sun will always burn no matter what time of the year. Be positive and enjoy your vacation!
