Good advice Michael! I've rented with VRBO and other agencies and it is always wise to look thoroughly at their cancellation policies. This goes for everything that makes up your trip, airlines tickets, lodging, train or cruise arrangements, etc. It is always wise to plan ahead and invest into travel insurance which can cost $25-40/person and can include things like coverage of medical expenses and emergency helicopter or plane transfers.
