Hi yen,
I think you will be okay waiting to rent a car for one day especially if it is a weekday. The beaches don't actually close, so I assume you mean that the last publico leaves Flamenco at 5:30? The ferry leaves at 5:00 so if you are planning on catching that ferry, I would leave the beach a little bit earlier, as will most of the publicos.
