We were there in January and encountered a few mosquitoes but not too bad. We were warned that the mosquitoes would be really bad so we brought all kinds of bug repellent but honestly never even opened them. We used a citronella candle when sitting out on the porch at night and that seemed to work fine. Don't know if we were lucky or maybe we were in such a state of extreme relaxation that we were oblivious to the insects dining on us :)
