I've stayed at the La Playa (on Calle Amapola), and I avoid the hotel - tiny, poorly appointed rooms and terrible soundproofing - noisy all night. On the other hand, the Playita bar and restaurant is a favorite. If they haven't remodeled the hotel, stay nearby and enjoy the open air bar and restaurant.
