My family and I just returned from visiting Puerto Rico. We stayed at the Wyndham Conquistador Hotel, and by far the highlight of our five day trip on the Island was our day trip to Culebra. This website was a great reference for us to use before heading to Culebra.
I definitely recommend our experience for a fabulous day. We chartered a boat and captain from Island Cruisers. The boats were brand new, had Bob Marley playing in the cd player, and accommodated our family of five comfortably. We visited Luis Pena, Dockity, Zoni Beach, Flamenco Beach, and Culebrita. The water is as blue and clear as any spot that we have visited in the US Virgin Islands, and the sand as soft as we have ever stepped on.
Our captain took us snorkeling on a beautiful reef in Culebrita, we then hiked for a few minutes to relax in a natural bath which was spectacular.
After a wonderful day of Island hopping, we ended the day at Mamacitas restaurant. The food is good, but the laid back ambiance and drinks are great. Their local drink "The Bushwhacker" is a MUST!
After experiencing the Caribbean blue waters and beaches of Culebra, we will definitely stay on Culebra during our next visit. Many of the insightful post from this discussion board are what prompted us to go, Thanks!
