Any word on the cause of the ISLA NENA crash on Flamenco Beach last August ? (was it just a maintenace/engine problem). Is ISLA NENA going to start flying again ? thanks
They were flying three weeks ago when we went. My understanding is that after the emergency landing, they were prohibited from flying their main aircraft, and had to revert to using their older planes until the FAA cleared them. The pilot DID NOT like my request not to land on the beach. I don't know the cause and have not been able to find a report at ntsb.gov.
