Elongated lodging

So, there is a great possibility that I will be working on my practicum in Culebra this summer. (I hope I hope I hope), but the only catch is lodging. I've looked through this forvm and noticed that all the posts are mainly about week stays, or weekend, at fairly expensive hotels. My stay there will be a total of ten weeks, and it'd be really expensive to stay in a hotel charging $90/day. I checked out hostels, and the closest to Culebra that I saw was in San Juan! I'd be ok with living on the island of PR itself if it'll save me some money, but I have no idea where to look, or where to even start. Any suggestions and/or references would be of great help. ¡Hablo español también!

No luck as of yet in getting much response from people concerning lodging in Culebra. So, what I plan on doing is just going down there a couple of days earlier than planned and finding a hotel that I can stay at, and from there look for some fairly cheap living quarters. So, now my question is:

What's some good hotels located in Culebra that I can stay at for a couple of days?

Also i'd like to repeat my previous question:

What's some good hotels/hostels/apartments in Culebra that I can stay at starting mid-June to the end of August?

I appreciate in advance any response.
