Camping Questions

My husband and I are planning to camp in Culebra in a few weeks and I had a few questions...

Can we just show up or do we need to make reservations for camping?

I have heard people mention tent rentals but have not yet found out where or how much this costs.

Is it safe to leave your personal belongings in your tent while you're out? If not, are there lockers or places to put valuables?

What does the average meal cost (or what range) at the restaurants? I am trying to set our budget and determine if we should plan to cook most of our meals.

I saw rentals for coolers mentioned on this site - anyone know how much or would it be better to bring one?

It is always a good idea to call for reservations if you have the phone.
Valuables... always carry with you.
Meal prices... a very good meal 10 to 15 dollars each.
Junk food 6 to 8 dollars each.

A good meal means local food, or steak, junk food means pizza, hamburges or sandwich.

From the camping area is a long walk for a good meal.
You will notice when somebody takes you to the camp ground.
Ask the PUBLICOS, they will give valuable info.

No tent rentals, but sometimes campers lend them.
When I was there you could get a good lunch at the concession area for $6.

In culebra there are several places to eat that they are not expensive the meal is between $5.95 to $8.00.

Anything of value might be stolen no matter where you camp. Maybe you can get a safe deposit box at the Bank. They used to sell styrafome coolers and ice at the consessions.
