As it turns out you definitely have to be there early! We landed late in San Juan on Fiday night the 16th and had a late start on Saturday morning. We arrived at the ferry terminal at exactly 9:00 and missed that ferry. There were so many people still waiting for the ferry that they ended up putting people who wanted to go to Culebra on a ferry that went to Vieques first. We missed that as well. They added another ferry at 10:00 and the people in the line in front of us got the last 2 tickets. So we had to wait until the 2:30 ferry. It was fine though. We took our car out of the parking area and drove arounf fajardo for a little while.
