Email me if you want more info on camping, as I just returned. I wrote a long camping report in this forum. There are food stands, they don't sell what you might consider traditional breakfast foods. They set up around 9-10 til 4 it seemed. I wouldn't count on this being your 3 meals a day. And the public transport isn't as easy as others have made it sound. They come during the ferry schedule times or you can call for one. But it doesn't always work as easily or on time and not late in the evening or early in the morning.
Just preparing you for that "island time" that everyone talks about. It didn't bother us, but we did walk back from town one day mid-day as no one seemed to be running a taxi at that time. Grabbing someone leaving the beach going into town is one of the best ways to get a ride, you have to be a little bold.
Depending how long you're down for, you might want to buy a cheap cooler ($5) as this will expand your options.
