The ride from SJU to Fajardo is usually just over an hour so you should be okay. When you get to the ferry terminal get in line for tickets. The line is slow but you should be okay on that day. no ferry reservation needed for passengers (vehicles only).
Lots of hills, blind corners, pot holes, and other vehicles on the road to watch out for while biking. A person should be in good shape to bike there for the week (or you will be at the end of the week). LOL
