Have you reserved a jeep? If you have a vehicle you can go to some other beaches which will not be as crowded as Flamenco, Zoni or Punta Soldado for instance. Where are you staying? If you are staying anywhere near town you can snorkel at Melones and that shouldn't be too crowded. If you don't have a car try having a taxi take you to Tamarindo Beach. There are picnic tables there, some shade, nice swimming and snorkeling too. Just bring your lunch and arrange for a pick-up time. Should be much more serene than Flamenco this week. Flamenco as beautiful as it is isn't the only game in town. Enjoy your vacation.
