There are fewer roosters in the west side of the island ... towards Zoni. I don't ever recall hearing them out in Punta Del Viento or Northview or Zoni. The rooster noise is much more prevelant in town.

It's funny how any situation can viewed from different vantage points. The times we stayed in the vicinity of a rooster I was kinda psyched because it got me out of bed earlier and I got to enjoy more of my day awake on Culebra rather than asleep on Culebra. My first trip to the island (1998) we stayed on in the Punta Aloe area and the mail plane flew over our house ... er I mean over my bed ... sometime between 4:30am and 5:30am. I am a light sleeper and it woke me up every time. I witnessed a few spectacular sunrises thanks to that plane!
