We just camped for ten nights. And our neighbor had been there for two months.

There is little security per se. A few times per day one of the campground officials drives or walks through. There are no lockers.

But Flamenco does not have an atmosphere of crime, to say the least. I suppose it's always possible that something could be stolen but we never had any problem at all nor did anyone I talked to.

I've never heard of something being stolen from a tent. My neighbor said that someone lost a boogey board when they left it outside. But that's the ONLY thing I've ever heard of.

If you bring your good camera, there is a 99% chance it will be save even if you were to leave it on your picnic table. But there's always that 1% chance.

I'll tell you this... I decided not to bring my good camera during our trip last month because I had the same worries you do. But I've already decided that when we go back a year from now, I am bringing it. I'll keep it in my tent and hide it under some clothes if I'm extra paranoid.

In my opinion, Culebra just might be the safest place in the world.
