Maritza has had her guest house for over 12 years. I would appreciate if assumptions and hearsay would be left out of this forum.
She is further from town than Palmetto.

Good afternoon,
We are a short distance (1/2 mile) from town, an easy walk. There are also grocery stores/rest. closer than town to us.
Not sure who the Capt. Luis/bio bay is from y

Good evening,
As a GH owner here I'd say I'd likely know all of the businesses & I'm not familiar with this property.

Too bad about the roaches Mr. & Mrs. Rico. You should have stayed at Casita Tropical. Everything there was as clean as a whistle! The environmental thing to do, as we puertorricans here in Atlanta do

Mr. Rico,
when you told Maritza, what did you expect her to do? I think she was trying to take care of your problem, which, as you might see by previous posts, is not really a problem, bu

Wow, I've been to Maritza's twice, and never saw anything on the floor bigger than a fly!
Only reason we aren't staying there this trip is because the last trip, we found a couple of flea

My memory, for what it's worth, is that roachs are not disease vectors. So, they may be ugly but they won't make you sick.

I guess maybe the degree of freak-out might depend on what part of the States you are from as well. We have the same roaches in Atlanta that there are in Culebra; it's just an everyday thing in both

They are often delicately called 'water bugs', and are part of the natural landscape. I can't imagine a trip to Culebra without seeing at least 3-10. They give me the creeps, but I've learned to acc

We stayed at Maritza's and it's not close enough to walk to the beaches (it's approx 2 miles to Flamenco)--her house is in the airport area, about 1 mile from town. Really, the beaches aren't walking

I vote for Maritza's guest house (in the Shelter section here). She has 2 guest houses, one a bit bigger than the other, and both rooms are clean, private bathrooms, kitchenettes, and tons of privacy

I vote for Maritza's Guest house. Quiet, inexpensive, and one can have the bedroom, one can have the futon in the living room! It's pretty close to town, and I highly recommend it.
