The north beaches are pretty decent, when there's a good swell, which happens a little after those nasty storms hit the east coast up north :)

Enjoy Culebra!

any suggestions on where to stay? we enjoy being in a community, not a isolated resort type place.

myself and my 2 teenage boys are going to Culebra middle of April. They are hoping to surf. Probally only bring boogie boards. Staying at Villa Fulladoza. You can get a publico to Flamenco for $2 each way. When are you going?

My favorite place to stay is Maritza's guest house. One room is big enough for 3 to 4 people, the other room is big enough for 2 adults. She's from the Dominican Republic, speaks enough English to get by with tourists, and she works during the day at Mamacita's Restaurant.

I just enjoy where her guest houses are located (right under her main house), and she gives you total privacy while you're there. You'll be lucky to see her your entire stay!

Maritza's has a link under Shelter on this site.
