3/27 transport - help!!!
Culebra, Puerto Rico

We are flying in to San Juan International on Easter Sunday, April 27th and need to get Culebra. We had planned on taking the 2:30 ferry from Fajardo.

1. Will the ferry going from Fajardo to Culebra be impossibly crowded or will most of the crowds have emptied out by then?

2. Are there any private boats for hire that might take us across and if so what do they charge?

3. We are a party of four; Matt (Air Culebra) is willing to fly 5 people for $395. Anyone interested in joining us? We would be trying to arrange an early afternoon (12:30-1:00ish) departure.

4. Any other ideas???

Many thanks.

Hello... how I wish I have my boat, for sure any charter for Culebra in a boat, will charge something more than $395.00. But that is a high price for an air plane, the cost per person from Fajardo to Culebra, does not goes over 29.00 each way per person, from SJU it may cost about 100.00 round trip, per person.
On Easter Sunday, I do not think the ferry will be crowded going, it sure will be at the return.
However, be advised that some groceries ( including ice and drinking water ) may be hard to find, since it is the end of a 4 day weekend, and many locals ( from the big island ) go there, and the cargo ferry does not work on weekends.
So ... bring your basics.
Enjoy Culebra, if possible go to Culebrita ( you need a boat ), PLaya Zoni, of course Flamenco, and Mamacitas for a relaxing evening.

Enjoy your stay, and take many photos.
