Day trip wedding in Culebra
Culebra, Puerto Rico

My fiancé and I are planning to get married on the beach in Culebra (Which beach? That has yet to be determined!!). The issue that I am running into is that we are taking the ferry over that morning from the mainland, and I will be taking along my dress (informal dress) and accessories for my hair/makeup - but I have no idea if there is a place that would allow me to get dressed there. I am not technically staying overnight, and I probably wouldn't need more than an hour to get ready as it is a very short and simple ceremony. We want to spend the rest of the day enjoying the island and the different beaches! Can anyone provide some insight on if such place exists? Right now, my only plan is to get dressed in the restroom of one of the beaches common areas. Not ideal, but it's all I have. Again, Super simple and short ceremony, so I only need a place to change clothes and throw my hair up!! :) Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Liz,

I would suspect that a bunch of people here are reading this thinking, that girl is crazy!! lol. Because, day trips to Culebra without weddings involved are difficult enough...between the ferry logistics, getting round the island, etc. Are you sure you can't spend the night? That would be ideal.

The only beach with bathrooms is Flamenco. If you don't mind a crowd, that would be the easiest...get dressed in the bathroom there and walk out to the beach and thrill the crowd. The most romantic beach to get married on? Zoni is my vote, though it faces east which would lend itself to a morning wedding, I think. But you'd have to get dressed before you went out there...maybe in the bathroom at the airport? If you're the adventurous type, you, the groom, and the official could hike 20 minutes to Brava and be all alone, that would be cool.

Good luck!
