Charter boat from San Juan
Culebra, Puerto Rico

Hey fair-weather fellas!!

My wife and I, along with some other friends plan on having our anniversary there because, well, it's awesome
but I'm having trouble finding information on a charter boat from San Juan to Culebra. The past few times we
went we thought about it, but the first time we took the ferry (the time it got stranded at sea and was rescued
by the coast guard), and the second time we flew (one of the weeks the mail plane crashed). We'd like to see
if we can inadvertently cause another disaster by taking a charter boat. I distinctly remember seeing a link
somewhere about a high-speed charter boat with a bar and music, but I can't find it now. Anyone know where
to find it, or am I crazy?

Either way we'll make it there, just looking for a new experience

Maybe you should stop going to Culebra! You know, Lewis did write a song about your adventures. Maybe one maƱana he'll record it, and I can share it. It's called Drifting in Paradise.

The high speed ferry is a thing of the past although currently, a fast ferry is running from Fajardo that is pretty nice. That said, its contract keeps expiring and keeps getting extended for 30 days while the government figures out how to pay them. So, bottom line, it's still a mess. Same old same old.

Happy Diving!
Debbie

No way!!! Got engaged there, got married there, and spending an anniversary there. Maybe one day I'll get a divorce there? Jk, jk.

Yeah, we were listening to drifting in paradise the other day on youtube. Had to go way back through the pages here to find it, but we still love it. Anyway, I hate to hear that about the fastboat, guess we'll just have to break another ferry.

Off topic, we want to hit some of the things we missed the last couple times, the museum, D's garden, El Caobo (heard interesting things), hike to Resaca, maybe a church service to atone for my many sins, etc. Anything you would suggest that's off the beaten path?

Good to hear from you again!

Not drifting in paradise, the one you posted... Steve-o? Either way, your husband's band looks like some guys I'd like! Heck, just have him post it on youtube, no need for an album

Definitely recommend the hike to Resaca. Take a lunch, plenty of sunscreen, and remember the hike back out is uphill over lots of rocks. But it is worth it -- we had the whole place to ourselves all day. Watch the undertow there, though.
