We are coming to Culebra from March 10-19. Are there any groups that meet for birdwatching in Culebra? Anyone to call in to?

Search this forum for bird discussions as to good birding locations. One exciting development is that the first flamingo in many years appears to have taken up residence in Flamenco Lagoon, the brackish estuary behind the buildings on Playa Flamenco. The best guide book is "A Guide to Birds of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands" by Herbert Raffaele It is available in some of the gift shops.

Is the pink flamingo at the Flamenco salt pond standing next to the herd of llamas? A good point to always remember is, the wool produced by a llama is very soft and lanolin-free so you will need to apply a hand moisturizer.
