Hey Trent,
You were so psyched about your trip to Culebra and now that it is over, to where did you disappear? Hope you are ok!

Hey y'all! I really need to apologize for being so elusive. Life after Culebra has been a rat race. I so long for the laid back Culebra life, and the only way to cure that is to schedule another trip, so I'm working on that.

Here's a little snippet of our trip:
Flew into Culebra on Air Flamenco. Great flight. Pleasant to work with. A little concerned about waiting for our luggage, but then again we were still on mainland time. Stopped by to meet MJ, and then drove around trying to get our bearings.
Dove with Walter on day 2 & 3. Awesome sights. Walter was very helpful though we felt a little rushed. Didn't realize it until a few days later that we went way past our deco limits. Maybe that's normal, but we don't know being this was our first boat dive.
We snorkeled Punta Soldado, Flamenco, Zoni, Carlos Rosario. Scuba diving at Carlos Rosario, Punta Soldado and with Walter. If we had more time, we would have dove Carlos Rosario many more times. It was by far the most beautiful and diverse.
Our stay at the Bahia Marina was perfect. Resort staff were very accomodating and helpful. Clean and spacious.
Dining at Mamacita's, Dingy Dock, Bahia Marina. We ordered sandwiches from El Eden that were more than wonderful, and fresh. BBQ at home a few times.
Mid-week, we chartered with Captain Bill to take us to Culebrita and do a little fishing. Culebrita is so amazing! Remote, pristine and refreshing. I would live there if I could. Captain Bill was awesome. I recommend him to anyone.
All in all, it was be best 9 days we've ever spent away from home. I owe most of that to all of you who answered all my inquiries. I only have one regret; I didn't meet any of those rude Culebrans I heard so much about. Seriously though, everyone we were in contact with was more than accomodating, friendly and genuine.
We have over 300 pictures. 227 underwater pics and videos, and 100+ land pics. Our underwater pics turned out fabulous for a couple of amateurs. Not sure how to share them with you, but would love to. I don't have a web page. Any ideas?

Trent.

You could always post on Flikr and post the link on this forum for all of us to see your pics online...

if you do post them on flickr and add the tag 'culebra' plus the spot where it was, it will show on the maps in islaculebra.com!

Enjoy Culebra!

careful Trent, twice over the years I and others have been laid off or canned within 6 months after a visit.

leave it behind until you're ready and able to go back.

Thanks, Richard. I will tread lightly.
