Water problems in town?
Culebra, Puerto Rico

Ive read in another web page of a group of people that stayed at Casita Linda this May and they had some water problems because of the construction going on in the town. This worries me because I am considering staying at Casita Linda, and it looked pretty nice for my needs. I would appriciate it if someone can tell me if this is true and if this is a common factor in all the places in the town.

Thank you

Hi,

if there is a water problem in town, it is usually taken care of pretty quickly, they have gotten the hang of it and fix things within a couple of hours.

If this is the case, then a lot of places would be the same, if one is out of water, most likely all the other ones connected to that particular pipe will suffer as well.

Enjoy Casita Linda and don't worry much about it. That is just life in Culebra at the moment. Definetely a common factor!

Have a great time during your visit.

Melanie

Also, some places like ours have water cisterns and tanks as backup. If the city water is disconnected (usually during construction or upgrading of system), they usually do it late morning so that people can prepare for work. Then, re-connected in the afternoon for dinner. And, maybe disconnected at night. Don't let this stop you from visiting Culebra.

does anyone know when all this construction 'downtown' is supposed to be over - or at least this particular project?

We're looking for lodging for 5 people in Culebra, and are considering the Palmetto Guest House, Casa Robinson, and Casita Linda, among others.

I've seen some positive comments regarding Casita Linda on this forum, but would appreciate feedback on any of these.

Thanks.
