School Trip to Culebra
Culebra, Puerto Rico

Hi everyone. I'm taking a group of 20 students to PR and Culebra in April. What is our best option for getting from SJ to Culebra? We are on asomewhat tight budget. Thanks for any info or help.

By far the cheapest option is to reserve van-size taxis to transport you all to the Fajardo ferry terminal. You'll probably need at least three vans, especially if there's lots of luggage. They will cost you around $80 for each van, regardless of number of people. It takes 50-60 minutes to get to Fajardo from SJU airport.

The ferry is only around $2.50 per person.

Once in Culebra, you can use publicos for $2 per person for the main routes. They can sit 10 people or so. They run regularly to and from Flamenco Beach.

All in all, these are remarkable transportation values for a large group of people. The only way to do it cheaper is to walk and swim.

Wow, what a great school trip. We never got to do anything like that when we were in school. Do you need chaperones

There is no such thing as a bad vacation. Some are just better than others.
