Which little island?
Culebra, Puerto Rico

If you had to rate the little 3 islands, Cayo Norte, Culebrita and Luis Pena for relaxing and snorkeling, how would you rate them? If you could only do 2 of the 3 which would you do and why?

Thanks
Herb

I'm pretty sure Cayo Norte is private property. I don't know what that means relative to going there, but I'd guess you need permission. The other two cayos both get enthusiastic thumbs up from me.

Norte is indeed private. and it's the fodder of my idle day dreams.

The snorkeling off Cayo Norte is one of the best!

Enjoy Culebra!

So Cayo Norte is private.....and the best snorkeling. I suppose you get one of the operators to take you out but not get on the island? Or is it possible to get permission?

It is far. You need to have your own boat. Best is to charter a sailboat for the day and do the snorkeling from there. Also more comfortable

Enjoy Culebra!

I heard when i was there from a great guy steve that took us sailng around the island that cayo norte was sold and the new owners were rather protective and pretty much jerks when it came to the island. we sailed to culebrita and had a great day. we didn't end up going to the baths there but had a very good day relaxing on the boat and in the water. haven't made it to luis pena yet. i'm sure they are both great... but the beach on culebrita seemed hard to beat
