Parking a Car Overnight at the Ferry
Culebra, Puerto Rico

Hi,

A couple of months ago someone mentioned that they rented a car for a week and then parked it at an overnight lot right across from the Fajardo ferry while they in Culebra for a couple of nights. They said it was about $5 a night or something.

Is this legit, and are cars parked there safe?

Thanks in advance for your help!
Andy

You will find a secure, monitored parking lot two blocks from the ferry terminal, near the water on Calle Cometa (just look for the pink "lighthouse arch" spanning the road). Cost is 5 or 6 dollars per day. Be prepared for the "interesting" experience of Fajardo's one-way streets and impatient drivers on your way to the parking lot; you might also scan www.playaazulpr.com/ferrymap.htm to plan your route.

Lamont,

Thanks so much for your help! I have been browsing the forum for a few months, and this was my first question. I can't tell you how helpful it is for us visitors to have locals answer questions like this. Thank you!!

Andy
