Car rental San Juan to Fajardo
Culebra, Puerto Rico

I only know so far of L&M, and they charge a pretty hefty fee for their insurance, as well as a $25 drop off fee. Anyone know of another rental company that you can pick up from San Juan and drop off at Fajardo?

Many thanks!

If you have US car insurance and credit card coverage you can decline L&M's insurance. Leaseway had an office in Fajardo so you might try them.

Thanks for the info - looks like Avis is actually the best bet for prices, but they drop off at El Conquistador, so not very convenient, but much less than both Leaseway or L&M.

I was going to rent a car in San Juan and then park it in Fajardo while I am in Culebra because it ended up being cheaper--or at least I thought! (I am the one who posted the question on parking at the ferry.)

Does Avis have a fee for dropping off in El Conquistador? And, are you just going to take a taxi then to get to the Fajardo ferry?

Thanks!
Andy

Who ever you do end up going with, make sure that you have proof of insurance with you. It needs to say that it covers rental cars, otherwise you will have to pay the extra insurance. In addition if you are going to rent from L&M both ways (from SJ-Far) make sure you tell them that you are doing this so you will only be charged the one way fee once not twice.
Enjoy your trips, Culebra is Awesome!
