The campsite doesn't "close", but the employees are likely to return in the morning so you can "check-in" and pay your dues then. At least that's how it was last time I went. It is not likely to be different and if it is, someone please correct me. :) Have a great time!

I believe Kayra is correct. The campsite does not close so I'm sure you will be able to care of all check in business the following business. day.

As far as what to do when you get there late...find a spot you like, set up, and see them in the morning.

Is it necessary to make reservations for camping at Flamenco in March? Also, isn't there a Regatta, or something, during the weekend of March 10, 11?

I doubt that the regatta will have any effect on camp site availability.

Enjoy Culebra!

I made reservations when I camped there...just because that's how I am ;) As it was, it was pretty empty (I had the place to myself most of the time I was there). March can be a busy month - I'd make a res just to not have to think about it.
There is a web site for the regatta...something like Culebra Regatta (google it, I had it down but not at the moment, sorry). All the info is there. I was talking to a couple of people involved a week or so ago and it sounds good. The events will be centered on the ferry dock as far as the race goes (that's the current plan anyway) and local artists and vendors will be participating around town. Should be a lot of fun.
