Guitar & Singing Gatherings at Flamenco Beach Campground?? Jan 28- Feb 3

Author: Detlef (---.pat.wvnet.edu) Date:   01-12-07 16:00 I would like to have some music & singing—probably in the early somewhere at the campground. — I would like this to be an open invitation to anyone interested — B.Y.O.B.S. “Bring Your Own Bug Spray” may apply… — B.Y.O.B. (no glass bottles or glass containers allowed at the campground) — Anyone bringing a guitar and/or voice to share will be appreciated — Listeners are welcome My friend Andrew will bring his miniature guitar and song books, I’ll bring a shaker egg, Patty might bring her flute?? Andrew will bring his cell phone to the island (304)237-2860. We can correspond that way once we’re camping there. Please reply if you’re interested. Please feel free to give ideas for songs and where a good time&place to meet. Detlef

He said some folks he knows may be coming from Maine. He called them the Maine-iacs--would that be your party?? Just curious, and amused. BTW, I just bought this tiny little plywood guitar to bring with me--I really like it... anyway, we'll see how it holds up in the humidity. Looking forward, Detlef

I don't know Leonard from Mass.; we did hangout a bit with Lee from Mass. last year in Culebra. I know of 4 couples & a few singles of Maine-iacs camping Flemenco at a variety of arrival/departure times in Jan-Feb '07. Yeah, preparation time now is great and I'm really looking forward to being there too. Your guitar sounds neat. Owlihoot2

(Yes I'm going twice this year) Leonard knows Lee from Mass. They've known each other for years and years (camping on Tortolla--Brewer's Bay). Anyhow, we'll start playing somewhere near the parking area of the campground, Sunday Jan 28th 7:30PM. Anyone is welcome to bring an instrument or singing voice. We'll see how it goes, and probably we'll continue doing music until the end of our stay (Jan 3). I'll post again as a reminder sometime next week. Looking forward to it. Detlef

Looking forward to the music and meeting folks. Have made a reservation with the $25/person taxi from SJU to Fajardo and are looking forward to meeting these folks too. Owlihoot2
