camping reservations?
Culebra, Puerto Rico

I called the campground at Flamenco Beach and was told I don't need a reservation to camp and that it won't be a problem getting a spot on December 14th. The gentleman I spoke to was very nice and reassuring, just want to be a 100% sure I have a place to pitch my tent. Any opinions? Thanks.

Go ahead and be reassured by that gentleman with whom you talked. There are no designated camping lots as such to reserve; folks place down a tent wherever they wish. Last Feb. when returning from the beach, we found 2 huge tents directly on top of the path we had used to enter our site for 2 weeks . Take a deep breath. Have fun.

I'll also be arriving there on December 14 (late afternoon). I think it should not be crowded at that time--maybe closer to Christmas and especially New Year's weekend.

Hope you get there ok...

Hi, My boyfriend and I will be arriving in San Juan on 17 Dec and want to come over to the island staight away. Any advice on accomodation would be welcome. IS it essential to book or can we just turn up? Has anyone booked a villa and have 2 spare places? Thanks

Holy week is Easter (usually sometime in March). However, I think the campground may be crowded on New Year's Weekend--has anyone experienced New Year's Weekend at the campground???
