Bio Bay in Culebra

We will be in Culebra in December, and wish to experience the Bio Bay. Whom could I contact regarding this? I understand there are fishermen willing to take people out. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I don't know of any biobay in Culebra, however nearby Vieques has one of the best in the world - this is probably the one your trying to get to. A ferry runs from Culebra to Vieques, but you'd have to stay at least one night in Vieques. My wife and I (we live in San Juan) set up a tour through biobay.com and they were excellent. Check out their website to make sure your trip is during a week when the moon is not bright (they have a moon calendar on their website) - new moon nights are best, the brighter the moon, the less you see of the bay - so arrange your biobay night accordiingly. It may be inconvenient to arrange, but it is an incredible experience that you will not forget - and plus, Vieques is a cool island in its own right.

There is a Bio Bay in Culebra. It is right around la Pelá bay. Personally I would try to rent a kayak overnight - make sure there is NO moon - and watch the fish, the paddles and yourself move in the lit up water :)

I do not know how the one in Culebra compares to the one in Vieques, but it is pretty awesome!

I'm going to be in Culebra/Vieques at the end of January...unfortunately our trip is right before the full moon. Is it still worth it to go to Vieques, or should we not go? Thanks!

We went to the bio bay in Vieques and honestly, I don't know if the moon was full or close to full. Even so, it was amazing. Don't miss it. You will be in awe. Have a wonderful time.
