Club Seabourne vs Bahia Marina & Tamarindo Estates
Culebra, Puerto Rico

Greetings from la madre patria. I'll be going to Culebra at the end of the month and would like some ideas on where to stay. I was thinking on booking a room/villa in Club Seaborne but after reading some of the reviews I am sort of hesitant. Is Bahia Marina any better? How about Tamarindo States? Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Saludos.

We just got back from Culebra and really loved Villa Flamenco Beach, but it sounds like you are looking for more of a resort-style accomodation.

We went by Club Seaborne and it looked nice. We ate at Bahia Marina and had the best food of the entire trip, the people were really nice, and the view was amazing. If we don't stay at Villa Flamenco Beach next time, we would definitely pick Bahia Marina. They also have a really nice pool.

Although I've not stayed at any of these, Club Seaborne would be my choice. I usually rent a private home from one of the real estate agents. I like the privacy, lush landscaping, small number of guests and view from Seaborne. They have a nice restaurant and a great bar.

Happy Diving!

Club Seaborne, in my opinion is better than Bahia.
Both have high prices, but Seaborne retains a match with Culebra's nature.

Our preferred lodging is Tamarindo Estates. My husband and I have stayed there for the past four years. Their recently renovated cabins have very nice ocean views and quite often you get awesome sunsets. We particularly enjoy the tranquility and being so private and secluded at Tamarindo. You can just walk off their private coral beach for very good snorkeling, or a short walk on your way to town is sandy Tamarindo beach. Mary

We just got back from 4 nights at Tamarindo, and it was WONDERFUL. Hardly anyone else there, very secluded and private, friendly people, great place to stay. It was very clean, there were screens on the windows and hot water, we had a kitchen to cook in that came with all the pots/pans/utensils we needed.... it was wonderful.

I'd highly recommend the place! It's really worth it.

Heather ~ Thanks for that post. We are staying at Tamarindo Beach Cottages next week, and we were wondering how people enjoyed it. It sounds heavenly!

Excellent choice on Tamarindo. I have stayed at Seabourne and several rental villas over the past few years, but nothing is better than the view at Tamarindo in the morning or at sunset. It's very tranquil, even during peak season. The staff are helpful, but not intrusive. And the snorkelling at the resort beach is fabulous.

About Tamarindo- which UNIT would you request if you were requesting a one bedroom cottage? Do you remember the cottage number you stayed in?
Trying to make plans for spring- thanks for any help!
