It sounds like you may be looking for a more resort-ish place (Seabourne or Bahia Marina, from what I hear). I was there in April and stayed at Villa Boheme for 6 nights and it was fabulous. It is very close to town, something that we loved--because ultimately you'll probably take taxis or drive to all beaches anyway, so it's nice to have at least something in walking distance. Rooms are somewhat plain, but clean, and the outside deck is amazing.
Flamenco Beach is beautiful and of course a can't miss, but don't forget the others too! Our favorite was Zoni.
