The spot seems to be good but I'll go to culebra coz my sister
will get married on this island near flaminco beach.

When you said i " if I realy want to surf " does it means that there's no
constant wave at culebra to surf? in december ?

Does it possible to rent a borad on culebra or only at puerto rico?

depending on the storms in the NE there's a pretty good swell on Culebra's North shores - if it doesn't get messed with by local sidewind ...

check with the watersport places whether they have equipment to rent!

Enjoy Culebra!

As far as I know, there isn't anywhere on Culebra to rent a board, but I would call a local dive shop, they are very friendly and will help you out. I do know that you can buy wax down there, as I got some Sex wax at the dive shop near the ferry dock downtown. I was there for New Years two years ago and the waves were pretty good all over the North side of the Island, including Flamenco...however, I heard this is very rare. Brava was supposed to be the best, but I don't think the beach break could hold the surf because it was so strong and everything was closing out. The reefs at Flamenco were supposed to be good at specific times, with people saying it got overhead barrels at times. I didn't have any trouble bringing my board on the ferry, but heard you might not be able to get it on a plane over there.

There is no surfing in Culebra, despite what you read here...
You may catch a wave once or twice a year.
Go to Rincon, else, get your snorkeling gear and have a great dive.
I have been visiting Culebra more than 23 years, and have not seen a single surfboard.

Capt. G must have been on island during the wrong time of year. I have some nice pictures of some of the local dudes trotting out to the end of Flamenco, carrying longboards. This was last May. I didn't think the surf was anything remarkable, but these guys were enjoying themselves. Oahu, it's not...true.
