Navigation in the Laguna
Culebra, Puerto Rico

My wife and I are planning a first visit to Culebra and we are coming by boat. I would like to know whether the Laguna at Dewey is navigable for a 34' power boat that draws 3'6" and is roughly 12' tall. Mamacita advertises that overnight guests can use their dock. But can we get in there with a boat our size?

Is there someone I could call who is familiar with the harbor at Dewey and who might offer some advice on how to stay off the bottom?

I tried to locate a Harbormaster using Google but was unsuccessful.

Thanks very much.

Peter

Ensenada Honda Bay is navigable with your draft, check your charts!

Your height might not get you into the channel from that side but definitely from the Bahia Sardinas side! The channel is deep enough (around 4.5)! Make sure you call Mamacita's before to make sure they have space!

You can always anchor and take an inflatable all around!

Enjoy!
