Debbies point is a good one. We spent a week at Bocas del Toro Panama 4 years ago and really liked it. Resisted pressure to buy at that time. We just spent two months there and decided it wasn't for us. Glad we waited. On the other hand, we just spent a month on Culebra and loved it. Next year we're going back for two months. Given the cost of real estate on the island and given the low price of longer term rentals, renting looks like our best option.
