I'm coming!
Culebra, Puerto Rico

Two things... I would like to take that high speed ferry from San Juan if possible. Anyone know if it is really in service? Otherwise I will take the buses.

Also, I would like to kayak to one of the islands to have a nice romantic picnic with my wife. I am "young and relatively fit" at the age of 25. My wife is my age but of a much more delicate constitution. What is the possibility of me making it to one of the islands without passing out? I will be doing all the paddling...

Also I'm an extremely good swimmer but she is not... is it safe?

Brian

I'm not aware of a high speed ferry from San Juan. Must be new in the past couple of years. Kayaking to one of the islands is a trip & a half. Good luck with that. Take a lot of carbo's with you in your lunch.

Brian,
Are you going to culebra? You can Kayak
to little islands around it pretty easily.
Talk to Jim at Jims Kayaks or at his wife's
restaurant Barbra Rosa's in Culebra.
If your talking about kayaking from
Fajardo to Culebra it is over 20 miles
and would take you all day if you were
a pro.

The high speed ferry only operates in high tourist season; Dec, Jan.

I agree with above about kayaking to the islands surrounding Culebra and you might enjoy the inside bay (Honda Bay) and the mangove areas. Contact Jim: 787-379-1973 or:
