Lauren,
Would you like to stay near town or rent a beautiful home outside of town? If you have the capability to rent a beautiful home above a beach I would strongly suggest it. The condos that you have in mind are good choices, but having a entire house looking over the Caribbean, all to yourselves, is spectacular. I have no idea what they are going to charge you but there are many options. These homes are as out of the way as you can get. You will need a rental vehicle though.
