Bringing a car on the ferry

We will be in Puerto Rico for 2 weeks and will be in Culebra 4 days in the middle. I am thinking of renting a car in San Juan for the entire time and bringing it on the ferry to Culebra. Any thoughts on that? Can you bring cars on the passenger ferry? Do you need a jeep type vehicle for Culebra? Thanks for your help.
