Jean,
My husband and I stayed at Villa Fulladoza, owned and ran privately. We went in May. There is no a/c there but we were rarely there during the day. Some days we would come in and out of our room, which feels so cool due to the breeze blowing in from the bay. The villa is bay front. The view is great with lots of sailboats. We did not miss the a/c at all. At night, we kept our shutters opened. If I remember correctly, there were screens. I do remember that we had no problems w/mosquitoes even when we were enjoying the stars outside on the back deck right at the bay. The place is very very clean. When we went there, we were the only ones there so we picked the room that we want and had the whole place to ourselves the majority of the time. The owners/managers are very trusting...like family. They didn't charge us for our 3wks stay until it was time for us to go....which at that time, they didn't even remind us to pay but luckily we remembered. It's quite and cozy. I'm very picky about cleanliness and if we were to go back to Culebra, I would stay there again. On top of all that, it's very affordable. Hope this helps.
