My famliy and me are going to culebra in may, and we are not taking a car. We are staying in Villa Boheme, is it very far away from the ferry port? And how far away is it to the good beaches in culebra? And any good resturants? I want my famliy to take back to california a good experiance.

Thanks

Villa Boheme is a very nice place to stay, it very close to most restaurants, and to the ferry dock, you can walk.
As for the beaches, you may use public transport, about 1.50 or 2.00 each way.
Remember that is very easy to get public vans between 0930 to 1900.
Most business there close early, and after that getting a public is rather dificult.
YOu will like the hotel, it is a water front property, where you can relax in the PATIO, looking at the sea, the birds, and the boats passing by.

Nice stay,

I highly suggest that you look into renting a boat from Butch at Culebra Boat Rental for a couple of days. (find link under "TO DO...Boating")

Since you are staying at Villa Boheme, you can park the boat right there and head out to do snorkeling at Luis Pena, Celubrita and other island locations as early as you like.

We rented one for a couple of days in Feb. and it was the highlight of our trip. It is a great way to see the island and we really enjoyed being able to snorkel right off the boat. There are lots of bouys scattered around the island and at Luis Pena to tie off to.

Butch has great boats and all the required safety equipment, chart and a cell phone is included for any possible emergencies.

Ugh...just thinking about all the fun we had is bumming me out...I can't wait to get back.

Oh yea, try the grilled prawns at Coconuts Beach Bar at Flaminco Beach and wash it down with their deadly sangria...yummy.

Make reservations for at least one meal at Juanita Bananas...one of the best meals I've had anywhere.

I'm jealous ;>)

I loved it there....such a nice place......we actually rented a boat from Butch also, that was a FUN day. It was just my husband and I (of course) I packed breakfast and lunch for the day for the boat trip. we docked our boat on the west side of Culebrita and we ate breakfast, then we walked into this trail and it lead us to this GORGEOUS BEACH!!! OMG it was soooooooooooooo nice if you look on the map look at the Culebrita Island u see the anchorage near the Palm Tree that's the beach, just gorgeous!!!
