Bad idea taking a rental car on the ferry! Once it goes on the boat all insurances including your own or credit card insurance are out the door. This island is rough and you will probably pick up at a minimum some scratches. You will be personaly liable for all damages. If your flight is in on time you can make it to Isla Grande Airport and fly over. Rent a car on the island. Time is money and you will save a lot of both that way.
