Furniture Delivery to Culebra
Culebra, Puerto Rico

I am contemplating purchasing a home on the island and wonder if anyone can tell me how to get delivery of furniture and other household items to my new home. Some things will be shipped UPS to somewhere, maybe San Juan and then need to be picked up and brought to the island. My understanding is that UPS does not deliver.
I will have some large furniture pieces also needing to be brought out there.
I would appreciate any names of truckers etc.
Thanks

I think the question is whether it comes all in one shipment.

Enjoy Culebra!

I believe you can move a household using a container service that would involve shipping it to San Juan and then transferring either the container or its contents to a livery service for delivery by ferry.

You need to look into this more. Shipping items from the states to PR needs to go thru customs and the Hacienda (tax office) wants their duty. Quite a pain to get things out of customs but it's all possible. Best to pay someone to run all around coordinating that for you. Once release there are several truck drivers on the island who go to the main island weekly to pick up stuff for folks. they can retrieve your items from customs once release and paid for. if you have a lot of stuff then ships on the East coast go down once a week and you can rent a container to put a vehicle and housing supplies in. But inquire at the Hacienda what that duty will be to see if it's worth it to you.
