Please note: unless something has changed since August 2012 no one can purchase ferry tickets ahead of time, let alone mailing the tickets to you. However, during high season there are locals in Fajardo that will stand in line for you as early as 4:00AM and purchase the tickets which you will then get from them before boarding the ferry. How do you get information on this local service? Now that is the $64K questions. All I can tell you is that I got on the ferry in Fajardo three times the summer of 2012 and all three times there were locals already lined up to get the tickets for their customers. Looking back I should have asked how to contact them for future service...
