Visiting culebra with a baby
Culebra, Puerto Rico

Hello to this wonderful forum.
We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids (3 yo and 4 months baby)
We are planning to visit Puerto Rico in August, and we loved what we've read about Culebra.
We wanted to visit Culebra for 3-4 days
1. Whats the best way to get to Culebra with 2 small kids?
2. Is it best to rent a car or just use taxis?
3. Any other general tips for travelers with small children? :) (we are a little concerned)

Thank you in advance!

If You Rent A Car From The Mainland You Probably Will Not Be Able To Take It Over To Culebra. You Can Rent Jeeps And Golf Carts On Culebra. I Have Not Taken My Kids To Culebra Yet.

You Would Need To Take The Ferry Over Or You Could Fly.

We have taken our son to Culebra twice, once when he was a year old and again when he was 2. Both times, we flew from San Juan. Personally, I wouldn't want to take the ferry with small kids. The ease of flying is worth the cost to us. We stayed for a week, rented a house near Zoni, rented a jeep, and had the time of our lives. Most baby supplies are readily available on the island, though don't expect to find all the brands of baby things you are accustomed to. At the time of our visit, we were unable to find disposable swim diapers. But other than that, we bought all our supplies on the island.
