Cars on Ferry

Our itinerary is San Juan to Culebra then to Vieques and back to San Juan in the course of 8 days.Is it possible to rent a car in San Juan and take it on the ferry to culebra and then to Vieques? Do you know about how much? Do I need a jeep to get to the beaches in Vieques or will a new rental car be sufice?
